<< back Sobel ScrambleA visual centrifuge that separates the high-energy regions of an image from the low-energy regions. It breaks the image into squares of a given size and sorts them based on a metric of visual energy, calculated by summing over the matrix of norms of the convolution with the Sobel operator. Scramblings of the cover art from Hauschka's Ferndorf album, made as cover art for my remix of one of the tracks.
