Counter Rocker

This unusual rocking chair was my crash introduction to metalworking. It's all made from welded steel sheet and tube, brushed and spray-lacquered. The adjustable counterweight attachment keeps the balance point in front of the sitter's center of mass, giving an unsettling sensation of sitting without support. It's really quite comfortable, though.

Just after completion. For most users, two cases of cava are an ample counterweight.
